A beauty guru has revealed dermaplaning to be one of her top beauty trends for the year, which is unsurprising given the amazing affect it has.
Chloe Morello, whose internet beauty videos have won her thousands of fans all over the world, told the Daily Mail that the technique, which uses a special razor to shave away the very fine vellus hairs from the face, getting rid of the ‘peach fuzz’ effect, is ideal for giving your face an even surface for applying makeup.
A face with these peach fuzz fine hairs can be prone to ‘cakey’ makeup, she explained to the newspaper, and in harsh lighting these aesthetic imperfections leave even a face that appears perfectly made up in soft lighting looking uneven.
Morello will have her face dermaplaned once a month, giving her the perfect visage for her makeup tutorial videos.
“I absolutely love to do this,” she was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying. “It picks up all the little peach fuzz so when you apply your makeup there is no hair catching the light and it also does exfoliate you. It is extremely satisfying and it makes a big difference in the application of your makeup.”
We at Advanced Aesthetics have been big fans of dermaplaning for a long time because of its numerous benefits.
Not only does the process give you a perfectly smooth canvas for your makeup application but it can help reduce the appearance of acne scarring, wrinkles and dark spots and helps moisturisers and serums penetrate the skin more effectively.
